PTC

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

Given their particular speed, size and strength, the PTC thermistors (commonly referred to as “PTC“) are suitable for temperature-sensitive elements for measuring temperature.

Available in various shapes, sizes and materials, the PTCs are applied in all those areas where the maximum operating temperature does not exceed ≤150°C (300°F).

These devices are composed of sensor, stainless steel housing or polypropylene resin and a cable.

typical applications

The PTC sensors are widely used in the following areas of use:

Extremely reliable, the PTC can be easily used in all areas where temperature control is required, including, for example, emissions control, temperature control, photographic processes, laboratories, etc..

The technical parameters necessary for the design and identification of the PTC model best suits the needs of the customer are:

  • Total insertion length to thermal process (measured below screw-nipple shoulder)
  • Diameter of the coupling / probe
  • Connection type (size)
  • Other elements of design and / or customized

ADVANTAGES

  • Fast response
  • High degree of precision and accuracy of measurement
  • High performance contained in a small space
  • Relatively low cost

QUALITY CONTROL

All of our thermistors and other sensors are subjected to the most rigorous quality and safety, by means of automatic machines and in full compliance with international regulations.
