GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
As a valid alternative to traditional electric heaters, electric ceramic heaters for air heating, also known as ceramic thermal fields, are easily installed in electric static air furnaces to quickly reach very high working temperatures close to 800 ° C .
The installation and replacement of the thermal field must necessarily be carried out horizontally within the installation oven, preferably by using concave support so as to allow for easy support of the ceramic refractory body.
Due to its technical characteristics and the quality of materials used, this type of heaters can be easily used in a variety of industries, including chemical and food.
Description
The ceramic air heater has one or more bare wire resistors (resistive spirals) mounted on flame-retardant ceramic bodies of high quality ceramic material (KER520 or higher) with excellent electrical insulation and a satisfactory mechanical strength.
The resistive wire spirals through the grooves of the ceramic spools are made of high quality, high-temperature resistant steel alloy wires designed to ensure optimum heat exchange to the outer tubular sheath and indirectly to the fluid to be heated.
The inner core (called thermal field) operates in particularly delicate conditions, with an internal temperature, especially at higher surface loads, close to 800 ° C.
For this reason, it is advisable to use this type of heaters with a low surface power density (W / cm2), reducing the risk of overheating.
