Hazardous area Still-Air Convector heater suitably designed for heating hazardous classified areas in presence of flammable atmosphere group IIA, IIB or IIC, located in Zone 1 or 2.
Certified to meet the ATEX regulation 94/9/EC.

Applications
Electric heating of hazardous classified areas group IIA, IIB or IIC.

In all these cases and in many others, the anticondensation finned resistors are fundamental to keep constant the environmental temperature, eliminating or minimizing possible condensation phenomena due to environmental thermal changes.

Their Watt power is so low to render them totally safe against surface overheating; furthermore, since it is connected to a thermoregulator, it is possible to set any surface temperature. 

On the other hand, an example of an armored armored heater (which can also be a smooth surface) is featured, complete with a mechanical limiter (overheating) thermostat inserted inside an explosion-proof EExd aluminum die-cast housing, an electrical connection terminal block IP65 / IP66 protection on electrical contacts.

The Anticondensation Finned electric resistors are suitable for all applications where the humidity formation present in the environment in ATEX zone must be reduced or eliminated, in order to grant the various electric equipment proper functioning and allow the heater to work in hazardous environments with explosive hazards, ensuring the perfect sealing of the IP6X (dust) and IPX5 / IPX6 (gas) headings in full compliance with ATEX CE regulations.

Our anticondensation heaters are suitable for functioning inside electric panels, electric panels cabinets, containers, control panels and instrument housings. The condensation removal and/or environment heating by these heaters are obtained with fairly low nominal powers from 100 to 4000 W, despite special alternative versions can be carried out with higher powers installed, based on the overall dimension and on the spaces available for the installation. The standard IP65 explosion-proof version is carried out according to ATEX standard, Ex-d,  Zone 1 and 2 – II2G/D, with the surface temperature specifically thermoregulated by safety and/or control thermostats.

In general, this heaters typology is manufactured with high quality materials like stainless steel AISI-316 and Incoloy 800 (elements) and made of Galvanized Steel FeZn or of Stainless Steel AISI-304/316 (only the grid-frame structure containing the elements) while the electric contacts protection head IP65 is made of Aluminium for the mist eliminators in ATEX version, with only one supply inlet, or made of Steel or Aluminium for those equipped with two supply inlets head.
