In all these cases and many others, ATEX anti-condensate batteries, also called ATEX static air convectors, are essential for maintaining the ambient temperature constant by eliminating or minimizing any condensation caused by environmental temperature changes in the respective installation areas in the presence of an explosive atmosphere.
Their power in Watts is so low that they are totally safe against superficial overheating; Furthermore, being connected to a thermoregulator, you can set the desired surface temperature. On the other hand, an example of a finned armored heater complete with a mechanical limiter (overheating) thermostat fitted inside an explosion-proof EExd enclosure of die-cast aluminum, an electrical connection terminal block with IP65 / IP66 degree of protection against electrical contacts.
This type of heaters is suitable for working in all applications where it is doubly necessary, on the one hand, to reduce or eliminate the moisture present in the room in the ATEX zone, in order to ensure the proper operation of electrical equipment of various kinds and, on the other hand, allow the heater to work in hazardous environments with explosive hazards, ensuring the perfect sealing of the IP6X (dust) and IPX5 / IPX6 (gas) headings in full compliance with ATEX CE regulations.
Our ATEX anti-condensing heaters are suitable for work in electrical cabinets, electric cabin cabinets, as well as in containers, control panels and instrumentation boxes. The elimination of condensation and / or the heating of the environment of these heaters is achieved with relatively low nominal power ranges from 100 to 4000 W, although special execution alternatives can be realized with higher installed power, depending on the size and of the available space for installing them.
The standard IP65 antifouling version is manufactured according to the ATEX, Ex-d, Zone 1 and 2 – II2G / D regulations, with the temperature of the skin specifically thermoregulated by safety and / or control thermostats.
Typically, this type of electric air heaters is made of high quality materials such as AISI-316 and Incoloy800 (elements) stainless steel and FeZn galvanized steel or Stainless Steel AISI-304/316 (limited to grid frame the containment of the elements), while the IP65 electrical contact protection cap is in Aluminum for ATEX anti-condensate with a single power input, or in Steel or Aluminum for those with a two-input power head.
