GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
The ATEX flame retardants for air heating are designed for a variety of industrial applications in the heating of gaseous fluids with specific use in explosive atmospheres.
In addition, this type of heaters guarantees optimum performance and efficiency in maintaining temperature of gaseous fluids (air, vapors, gas, etc …) whose thermal process takes place in the presence of explosive atmospheres.
The heating elements that make up the tube bundle can take on various shapes and folds that makes them easy to install even on tanks, tanks or pipe ducts, either horizontally or vertically, for the direct or indirect heating of gaseous fluids intended for the most unlimited use in the main industrial sectors.
The use of high quality materials within our production cycle enables the ATEX certified flanged electric resistances of our production to achieve high operating temperatures and a medium to long-term operating life.
USE
Designed to work even in extreme conditions in the presence of explosive atmosphere, in pipes, tanks or pressure tanks for direct or indirect heating of air and gas, this type of ATEX flame-retardant heaters guarantees an optimal heat exchange, also in very compact dimensions.
To ensure the design of an efficient ATEX electric heater fitted with a flanged connection, you must know the following technical parameters:
Among the most common applications in environments with explosive atmospheres, we find:
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Forced convection fluid heating (air, steam, gas, gas mixtures) in hazardous atmosphere ATEX Eexd for zone 21 and 22.
Forced convection fluid heating (biogas, methane, process gas)
Gas regeneration and cogeneration plants
Dangerous gas recovery plants
Cooling towers for use in a safe environment or in an explosive atmosphere.
ATEX process heaters for use in offshore and chemical plant platforms
Nuclear Power Plants and Nuclear Reactor Cooling Plants.
Overheat or ATEX Superheaters for Steam and Gas
CERTIFIED QUALITY PRODUCT
The entire production cycle of the ATEX flame-retardant electric resistors is subjected to the most rigid dimensional and electrical tests in accordance with our ISO 9001: 2008 certified quality system and in full compliance with CEI / EN ( EN 60079-1: 2007, EN 60079-1: 2007, EN 61241-1: 2004), ATEX94 / 9 / CE and, where required, PED97 / 9 / EC.
TECHNICAL DATA
This type of heaters consists of a tube bundle formed by one or more electric heating elements of various diameters, normally bent U or eyelets, perpendicular to the outlet of the electrical contact or bent at 90 degrees, which is welded to TIG or soldered in silver alloy on different flanges of flanges according to UNI / DIN, ANSI, JSC standards, or on non-unified flanges of variable size according to customer’s specifications, depending on operating pressure and working temperature.
Part of the electrical wiring is housed inside standard enclosures or headboards made of die-cast aluminum, carbon steel or stainless steel 304 and 316 with IP65 / IP66 protection rating classified as explosion proof ATEX Ex-de, zone 21 and 22, by class temp. T1-T6 and use / installation in explosive atmosphere (II2D Ex tb IIIC T 65 ° C / T450 ° C Db IP65).

Equipped with efficient thermoregulators (thermostats with adjustable temperature range, automatic or manual reset, or alternatively, skin safety thermostats with cutout, PT100 thermocouples and / or thermocouples “J” or “K “), suitable for protecting the heater from overheating and any premature damage. The electrical connection inputs (metric ‘M’, conical ‘Gk’ or ‘NPT’) are dimensioned on the board of the electrical connections according to the specific needs of the customer according to the number of installed elements, power and amperage that determines the cable section.
The surface load (W / cm2) of these types of ATEX electrical resistance on the flange is appropriately determined, from time to time, depending on the conditions of use and type of fluid to be heated; In addition to these factors, the maximum working temperature and working environment are also variable which directly influences the choice of the type of sheath material with which to construct the tube bundle of these heaters (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel AISI304, AISI309 , AISI 321, AISI 316L, Incoloy800-825, Inconel 600 or Titanium.
