The air heating elements with smooth pipe surface are suitable for being used in countless applications of industrial and civil type.

Their function is to create air or gas flows at a set temperature or to maintain environments at a controlled temperature.

They can take countless shapes and folds and their reduced size makes them suitable for being installed to ventilation ducts, air conditioning systems for air flow direct heating or machineries for unlimited uses in the main industrial sectors.

Despite the smooth surface (not finned) of the sheath or shell is less effective than the finned sheath in favouring the heat exchange, the smooth surface does better work in presence of fluid to be heated-up containing suspended particles.

  • Saunas, catering sector hot surfaces and heating trolleys, portable convector heaters, fan-coils, zootechnics systems and air-curtains

CERTIFIED QUALITY PRODUCTThe entire production cycle of smooth pipe heating elements is subject to the strictest dimensional checks and electric tests in compliance with the standards ISO 9001:2015 belonging our certified Corporate Quality System, and with the CEI/EN standards.Among the main above mentioned electric tests, this type of products is carefully subject to insulation resistance tests, dielectric rigidity tests, ohmic value and leakage current tests.

TECHNICAL DATA

This type of smooth tubular heating elements is generally manufactured with 0.5÷4 W/cm2 surface load.

In presence of a high circulation of air or gas flow, higher specific powers can be reached, ranging between 3 and 7 W/cm2.

  • Sheath diameter: 8.2 – 10.3 – 15.4 mm
  • Round Fin outer diameters: 28.2 – 30.3 mm. – 35.4 mm.
  • Rectangular fin sizes: 25 x 50 mm. or 40 x 80 mm.
  • Terminal Pin – threaded
  • Cold section at the ends of the electric connections (so called “Neutral Zone”) = variable according to the application specific characteristics (min. 30 mm)
  • Wheelbase centre-to-centre = min 8 – 12 mm (U- resistors)
  • Supply voltage = beginning from 24V
  • Pipe sheath length = variable according to the elements shape and bend, as well as the air flow speed inside the ventilation air-duct and the surface density (W/cm2)
  • Power = variable according to the surface density (W/cm2)
