GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
This family of galvanic thermo immersion resistors for corrosive fluids is particularly reliable and suitable for use in full safety in highly corrosive environments.
The fundamental characteristic of these thermo immersion resistors suitable for immersion in open basins, consists in the fact that they can be easily laid on the bottom of said basins.
This heater external sheath typology is constituted by PTFE (Politetrafluoroetilene) that makes it resistant to the various acid combinations typical of highly corrosive fluids.
TECHNICAL DATA
On all PTFE heaters for galvanic bath with electric output at 90°, the “F” level refers to the minimum solution’s level contained inside the bath to be heated, that must be added to the “C” level, referred to the heater thickness. Furthermore, in case the heater should be physically laid on proper supports separating it from the bottom, it is advisable to add also this amount to the minimum level.
Description:
Two/three elements AISI 404 stainless steel heater
overlapped and connected to an AISI 304 stainless steel flexible cable (ground connection guaranted) entirely protected by a Galvanic technology, Politetrafluoroetilene layer (internal/external positive contact) with safe heat exchange between the internal heater and the external fluid. Folded in spiral shape inside the reduced spaces with flexible cable of 2500 mm lenght (immersible for 1500 mm) with outlet perpendicular to the heater’s plane, complete of PVC shunting box, heater’s outlet cable glands/ power outlet and ground electric connection cable.
Some uses
Typical application sectors for this type of thermo immersion resistors is galvanotechnics. These heaters are, in fact, used to heat or fluidify different highly corrosive chemical components, each time the heater is immersed vertically inside open basins, or in case of significant fluid’s level variations.
It is possible to manufacture PTFE heaters with electric outlet perpendicular to the heater’s plane or folded at 90° in relation to the flat active surface of the heating section.
These heaters are manufactured with the same characteristics of the wall type ones, by folding the rigid end section during the installation phase, in order to allow installation in fairly reduced spaces.
Due to the PTFE galvanic heaters high fragility, particular attention must be paid during all installation and wiring phases.
Substance and density table
The table indicates some of the most common uses in the galvanotechnics sector, where the immersion resistors are used. The table also indicates the heater active section surface density (W/cm²), referred to the type of energy supply it was manufactured with.
Note: The above indicated data are purely indicative and do not take into consideration the infinite variants present during the manufacturing phases or the different products concentration used case by case. Therefore, damages deriving from different and/or improper heater use are totally attributable to the user’s negligence.
CERTIFIED QUALITY PRODUCT
The entire manufacturing cycle of PTFE thermo immersion resistors is subject to the strictest dimensional checks and electric tests in compliance with the standards set forth by our own ISO 9001:2015 certified Corporate Quality System, and in full compliance with the CEI/EN requirements in force.
